Architectural Cast Stone – Quality Control Program

CGA’s cast stone is held to a strict set of standards, which exceeds the requirements of the ASTM 1364, and Cast Stone Institute. To insure our products always meet our commitment to producing the highest quality cast stone available, we have a stringent Quality Control Program that is second to none. Every piece produced has gone thru a rigorous inspection in each department of manufacturing and signed off by the Production Manager prior to moving into the next stage of manufacturing.

Below is our standard Quality Control Program outline, which can be edited to meet your job specific criteria.

Architectural Cast Stone – LEED Rating System

The LEED rating system is the most widely used tool in assessing the environmental impact of a building and its components in the United States. As Architects work towards designing “greener” buildings, the LEED system provides a means of analyzing how eco-friendly their design is by awarding points in five environmental categories which leads to an LEED Certification. The use of Architectural Cast Stone can make a significant contribution toward earning LEED points on a project. The Cast Stone Institute has drafted a technical bulletin on the LEED rating system and how the use of Cast Stone can aid designers in achieving their LEED certification goal.
